IS RUNNING HEALTHY? – YES IT IS!
The benefits of exercise and sport against heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, tumors and even Alzheimer’s disease (and many more) is undisputed today. Even the additional consumption of 1,000 kcal per week extra, reduces the number of deaths per year to 20 – 30%.
The “Sportärztebund Nordrhein” (Sport Medical Association) therefore recommends an active daily life (e.g., 10,000 steps per day) and additional 30 minutes at least 5 days a week doing cardio and / or strength training. Alternatively, you can complete this 30 minutes a day in the form of three 10-minute units. For starters, it is sufficient if you notice an increase in heart rate and a rapid breathing and sweating begin. In the long run, you are welcome to expend sometimes and really get out of breath.
